where they have no way of finding the true light of God. (possibly a lost tribe in Africa)

If they died would they go to heaven or hell and why?

I asked a similar q once... I was told that they were "gentiles" and so would go to Heaven if they followed their own laws.. there seems to be some debate out that.

I had asked about indigenous Australians... The first Christians here settled in 1788.. so for 40,000 years indigenous people would be going to hell because Christians were too lazy to tell them about Jesus... and that just doesn't make any sense does it... so cherry picking.... there's that little bit there about gentiles.

There really are no lost tribes in Africa in this day and age, there certainly still are numerous tribal religions on the continent though, but total seclusion is virtually non-existent in this day and age.

You really should study the psychology of child indoctrination though. You believe your religion is the truth because even if you weren't indoctrinated into it, you still were to a lesser degree by the culture you grew up in. But if you were indoctrinated by your parents as a child, the effect is even stronger. Child indoctrination is highly psychological, and a viscious cycle. The further the indoctrination goes as a child the less likely they will question their beliefs as an adult.

Around 3/4 of the global population, wherever they are born, will continue the beliefs of their parents in some format, making the belief archetype of an afterlife pretty twisted.

It is not possible for someone to die without having a chance to accept Jesus as their personal savior...even if they died with no physical evidence of them finding God, there are other ways. Perhaps God came to them in a vision before, but they denied. I believe it isn't possible to die without having a chance to obtain salvation. And people who oppose that just lack faith. Why would God let a person die without having a chance to obtain salvation? God doesn't want people to go to hell. People choose to go to hell. Not by literal words but by their actions. Their action in rejecting salvation and etc. If someone died where to others it seemed that they had no way of finding the true light of God, then they would go to hell, because they had an opportunity, but refused leading to their end without the true light of God.

All people are accountable to God whether they have “heard about Him” or not. The Bible tells us that God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). Apart from God's grace, God would give us over to the sinful desires of our hearts, allowing us to discover how useless and miserable life is apart from Him. This He does for those who reject Him (Romans 1:24-32).

joseph smith jr answered this question nearly 180 years ago. my math could be wrong.

men who do not have the gospel but who die without it are given a chance to receive it in the next life.

Jesus said: though a man be in Hell and he call upon the name of jesus he will be saved.

but then again everyone is saved Except the sons of perdition

The BIBLE SAYS,,,, not Joseph Smith,,, that they WILL be judged according to their WORKS, The BIBLE says no 2nd chance,,,none period! Romans 1: 18-25 shows that no one has an excuse either Now wisdom should tell us to leave this up to God himself, ,,,like WE know so much about it.

God will judge them accordingly, for the law of God is written in the heart of all men.
