Should we tolerate religious stonings, burning at the stake, molesting little boys, torture, wars, all done in the name of religion? Could it have been possible without the generous donations from the millions that have received "spiritual comfort"? If you donate money to the KKK, but don't actually hang anyone yourself, aren't you a little bit guilty of a crime against humanity?

For everyone that says child sexual abuse is not part of any religion, I believe Mohamed married a 6 year old girl and had sex with her 2 or 3 years later, she would have been 8 or 9. Muslims consider him a prophet.

Intolerance is NOT a bad thing...! Discrimination is good...!

Without intolerance for those ideas that are harmful to a society and without careful discrimination, a societies very existence is threatened.

Failure to stand against and speak out about a danger to humanity is equal to supporting a danger. It's a poor citizen who expresses tolerance for a philosophy or a political threat to himself and his neighbors by remaining silent when he ought to be yelling at the top of his lungs, "No. No. No, and HELL NO...! "

So you're trying to say that moral rules are universal? If it's wrong for someone in religion X to do something, it's wrong for a person in religion Y to do it? And that if something is unethical, it shouldn't be allowed just because someone claims it is a religious practice? Yes, I think the principle of universality applies.

As far as comparing donating money to a church to donating to the KKK -- I'm not sure that's entirely fair. Churches do some good things -- they have food drives, feed the homeless, and that kind of thing on occasion.

Tolerating a religion doesn't necessarily mean tolerating all its expressions. I have heard that if a child of Jehovah's Witnesses requires a blood transfusion to survive, it can be court ordered in spite of the parents,' or even the child's, religious beliefs. Of course religious stonings and other behaviors considered inhumane, can be forbidden by law or condemned by people who disapprove of them.
Crimes such as molesting children are not a part of any religion I know of; in fact I know of no religion that doesn't consider it a grave sin.

Religious intollerance is always a very very bad thing!!! Never forget that! You can have your beliefs but do not try to force them upon another person. By the way, its only in modern world that you can call pedophilia sex with a person under 18 or 16 (depends on the country) .

Religions should not have violence to control people. It should be a peaceful teaching. If violence is brought in, its type of a ruling method, enforcement.

I personally like Buddhism. One of its primary teachings is not to harm others in anyway, even in thought (which may be hard to do at times lol). But it teaches that that's the best way to go about things in life.

Yes, donating to KKK means funding the harming and killing of humans. PERIOD.

Donations MONEY wise should be done only to better another's living conditions, give shelter, food - the basic needs.

We are born into a religion. And we can choose our religion afterwards (except if islamic, but then a gain some muslims do change). If one is an american christian and finds islam to be his path and changes over and makes it public, would he like it if his own christian friends sneered at his religion and him in person? At the end of the day we are all human.

Religious intolerance is always a bad thing.

Yes, it's always a bad thing. Ask the Native Americans?
Ask the victims first?
I'll be the first to tell you that if you get one of us, no matter how long ago it was, whether it was you or your ancestor, I'm going to fuss about it & if I could turn these folks into frogs for the crimes for The Burning Times, there would be a bunch of polywogs and tadpoles all over the place.

Religious intolerance is good only to protect the society against the intolerance of another religion.

Guess why the Serbs started killing the Albanians? Because the Albanians have been torching Orthodox Christian Churches, raping nuns, kidnapping and murdering Serb children. Later, the Serbs retaliated and of course they also killed many innocent Albanians.

Simple answer to your question, religious tolerance is not always a good thing. Too many people have died in the name of religion. Like I always say, REJECT RELIGION. What a person needs is relationship.
Make God your loving Heavenly Father through the Blood Sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus. Simply tell Jesus you love Him and receive His Holy Spirit into your heart.
Relationship, not religion.

Nope, the time for religious tolerance is over. It's time for war. We've tolerated fairy tales long enough.
