It honestly depends on the person. There are people out there like my husband who Will eat a large pizza in one sitting, and drink a thermos full of chocolate milk to wash it down with. He will eat a whole bag of oreo's or chips in one sitting, and he is the picture of health. There's myself who eats very healthy and have to watch what I eat, to keep my blood pressure under control and to keep my sugar levels in order. I do not suffer from high blood pressure or diabetes, but there have been many cases when I've been tested and my blood pressure was elevated and so was my sugar. They were blaming it on medications but still. Here's me who really takes care of myself, and doesn't eat that crap and I have to be careful, then there is him who eats it all the time, and is 100% healthy...

In general no i don't think it's fine to sit down and eat a bag of twizzlers that weighs a pound, but not everyone is the same so it could be ok for him.

Eating a pound of anything in one sitting is not healthy. A pound of sweets will raise his blood sugar level, and if that continues over time it will effect his health negatively

Your fiance is not thinking clearly. Too much sugar, especially this much, is not good for anyone.

your fiance is heading straight for diabetes if he keeps it up. If that is fine with him, I guess it's ok with me.
