Rom 10:9 because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
Rom 10:10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:
Rom 10:13 for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

NOTE: The word believeth doesn't mean just to believe in the existance of God, but to trust in, rely on and cling to Him.

The answer is simple but men have confused it. Without going into all scripture that is involved you must:

1) Believe that Jesus is the Christ (Anointed One).
and that He died for your sins on a cross. Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

2) That the shedding of His blood will save you. Math. 26:28 - "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." and Rev. 1:5 "...and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,"

3) You must repent of your sins (that is turn from your sin and disbelief and turn to living for God) Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

4) You must be baptized, that is immersed fully in water for the remission of sins. Mark 16:16 - "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. and Romans 6:1-7 "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." and 1Peter 3:21 - "There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,"

5) And then continue to obey the LORD for the rest of your days.

Saving is not needed. "God" loves all of his "children" equally, including the terminally misguided ones who feel that only those who follow their immature rules will be "saved" and gain entrance to "heaven". What a travesty. I can only assume that people who believe such tripe are mentally challenged.

Pray and fast for sinners.Offer up everything within your power as a sacrifice to the Lord in reparation for the sins by which he is so much offended and of supplication for the conversion of sinners.

First you have to be in danger. Then someone comes along and helps you get out of danger. You can then say you were saved from a dangerous situation.

"For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Eph. 2:8,9
God supplied the grace, we just need to have the faith.
