Of course, we are possibly at the peak of an interglacial period, the earth has been warming on average for the last 10,500 years, since the glaciers that once covered New York city began receding. In the early 1940's the Arctic Sea ice melted very much as it has now, the North West passage was navigable for a short while in that period as well, but things cooled and the ice grew back. The data indicates that currently the world is cooling, that is why certain scientists are making claims that global warming will return with a vengeance in 2009. More than likely things will continue to cool for at least a decade or more, just as it has always done in the past. And the scientists making these predictions about dangerous global warming will be proved wrong, just as they always have in the past.

Absolutely! Over the last five years the climate has been getting warmer, and more unpredictable. In West Virginia, we experienced ninety degree weather all through September. I also noticed a lot of other different states had phenomenal weather patterns over the past few years.
Scientists are all agreeing that global warming is approaching a lot faster than expected. Not to mention, there is a hole in the ozone layer about the size of Texas!
So keep an eye on the Weather Channel, and try to prevent as much toxic waste as possible!

No I don't! (emphatically)

Climate change was a term made up by the Bush Administration about four years ago just to confuse the issue. It is used to try to make people believe it is a natural process.

There was a small climate change event in the 70s related to ocean currents, but what we are experiencing is not a natural process.

Yes we are
Many sensitive scientific instruments can now see a change that just seems out of the ordinary
Also if you watch Al Gore's movie there's a whole bunch of ice melting in just a decade. Very worrying

BTW to others: this question is not asking if its human made but just if a change is happening

Sure. The climate is never constant. It always changes. Constant climate is not natural.

It is always either getting warmer or cooler.
