It's from His Spirit. The desire to be with God comes from God. And as I grew in knowledge I became aware of certain things which were lacking in my Christian life. I told God that I wanted what David had, the love for God that I didn't have. And, it could have been that very day, I actually experienced what David experienced. A love that made me stop and consider God to be the most impressive and loving person I have ever known. He is my life, and He will not be like a person on Earth who can be taken away from me, a wife, a child, a parent, etc. He is God, and He never goes away. I can trust Him, and He is not against me.
That's why.

Because He first loved me! He created me with love and loves me and supports me when nobody else does. He is my backbone! God has given me so much joy and has not sheltered me from my consequences when I have erred. He is always there to pick me up when I fall. He gave me two wonderful gifts. My husband and my son!! He gave His son for me, so that I might have everlasting life!! He is my best friend and it brings me to joyful tears when I think about all he has done for me and I know that I don't deserve it!! Thank You God!!

God is my Heavenly Father and He loves me so much that He allowed me to come to earth to prove myself to Him so that I could return to Him and have eternal life. He loved me so much that He sent His only begotten son Jesus to die for my sins and Jesus arose from the grave so that I too can conquer death and return to be with Him and our Father. God has put some wonderful people in my life. He has challenged me and helped me to grow. I love God because he has given me everything.

I have been a Christian now for over 33 years.
Do I love God? No.
I respect him, admire him, adore him, fond of him and his family, I wish to emulate him, he is my hero, he is my ideal of who I want to be sans the authority.
But I do not love him.
Let me explain- I believe, because of my background that my real understanding of love is warped, twisted, and is based on false standards. Since my concept of love is so wrong, it would be unfair for me to say I love him without knowing what it SHOULD be.
Someday, I hope to love him in such a way that he would approve of. Someday.

Because He loved me first. He died for me. He changed my life. He gave me a reason to live. He gave me truth when I was living a lie. He gave me power to get out of pornography. He should me what true love is between a man and a women. He should me what being a true man is, when our culture wants to say a real man is someone who is immature, lazy and ignorant.

He has a real presence in my life. I don't just believe He is there, I KNOW it. Because I know His presence, I know what He did for me.
I know He loves me anyway.
