Ya, I've done that loads of times. Dumb guys are easier to handle, more predictable, more fun and generally you can easily get them to follow your lead, as it were...at the same time, the down-side to a dumb guys is that he tends to be stubborn, doesn't really get it--even when you try to explain it to him and he also cannot, for the life of him, talk about anything more sophisticated than alcohol. So it all depends on what you're willing to deal with. I do think that looks are important, hence the dumb guys I've dated--this was all at a time in my life where sex totally depended on how hot the guy was...these days, experience speaks for itself...what good is a hot guy who can't even make you orgasm more than 2 times in one night....that's what I'd like to know!
Personally, I prefer guys who are hot AND smart, because these kind of guys KNOW they've got what it takes, they could get ANYONE and they know that it won't take a lot for them to get anything they want. So it makes for a sweet challenge--and its a lot of fun to reject them, since they're totally blown over and then kind of start to actually be genuinely interested in you and start to give you the time of day.
If I were a guy, I would date dumb girls for the sake of sexual experience and also because I would want to have a means of effectively eliminating annoying female characteristics that are common in dumb girls, quickly. Then, I'd slowly make my way up the intellectual ladder, physically and mentally, and by the time I found the perfect girl, i could also give her the benefit of a most excellent romp in the bed, in the morning, afternoon and maybe just as she gets home from work, we can do it against the wall.
For girls considering dating dummer guys, be prepared to pay for MOST of your meals, but also be prepared to be with someone who's sexually more open-minded...but this isn't always the case.
Anyways, pardon me, this was an exceptionally candid tell-all, but I hope that at least you can enjoy some blunt honesty...from a girls perspective.

I wouldn't... I can honestly say that the people I go crazy over are the ones that can charm me with their wit and intellectual interests.
That's not to say that I'd fall for a complete troll... but a clever, friendly, average-looking guy would attract my attention more than the stereotypical "handsome, dumb jock".
I've gotta admit, some of this is because I'm intimidated by good-looking image-conscious people. I know I'm not of their ilk.

Why do you think he is dumb? If you challenge his mind and if you can have a real conversation with the guy, then he is not dumb. Personally, maybe if you get to know him a little better, he may not be as dumb as you think he is? Just saying, don't judge a book by it's cover?

Well, I'm about to get married now...but when I was dating, I never dated anyone who was not AT LEAST as smart as I am. I could have never been with someone who was unintelligent, unambitious, or lacked common sense. When looking for qualities in a guy, intelligence always came first.

No. I would not date someone because they are hot. I would date someone based on who they were. If they just so happen to be hot then that would be okay, but when it comes down to it if you dont like who they are it will never work so why waist your time on. People should not be so shallow. Looks are not everything.

No, they're all going to turn bald and get a beer gut anyway. Might as well have someone with some brains so that they can entertain you intellectually... that's more exciting than someone who says, "Yeah I like beer!! football!! HAHAr, Hooters!!!" That would get old quickly.

i don't know about super dumb....but I've learned that not everyone is smart and they are still good people. If you love someone and they aren't smart then that's okay.
