Most assume that we hate people, but that would be contrary to the teaching of Jesus.
The very core of our belief is to bring people to a point of choosing life and not mearly existence.
Don't lump us all in the pile of hipocracy, some are real Christians.

Jesus prayed for the men hanging him off the fricking cross, so I suppose I can at least ignore the people who do less to me.

Honestly, i find many Atheists hateful and mean towards people with religion.(Not all of them! There are some here on Y!A that I think are wonderful!) I would be a lot more understanding if they were actually better people without religion, but all they seem to be able to say is "you're stupid and irrational"

I used to be an atheist, had a couple of friends that were atheist, and i dont recall ever holding religion in contempt, just thought it wasn't for me. Now that I have found God, I'm really proud that i can say i know the feling on both sides and have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to my treatment of people who have different beliefs than me.

I cannot bring myself to agree with you. I do agree that we ought not to be lumped together, as we do have differences of opinion on many things.

But I do love God! And so I watch for those who come here that are being led bu Him, saved or not. There was a great amount of time when I was being led by Him but hadn't committed yet. I am especially looking for those people.

But as far as loving EVERYBODY? No.
And to show you that I am serious, I will show you are verse or two:

Luke 14:26
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.

Galatians 2
4 This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. 5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

Acts 13
9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 "You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? 11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun."

I agree 100%
Matthew 5:44
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

I don't hate anyone. If you hate, it is like committing murder in your heart. Jesus said so!
Jesus said "I have not come for the righteous, but for the sinners."

Christians or anyone else shouldn't hate, but speaking for the people that are believers.... i think nonbelievers shouldn't be in this catergory of yahoo, unless they are looking for help. they shouldn't be in this section to insult the believers.

I disagree with many. I hate no one. I truly hope one day the non-believers will one day come to know Jesus as their savior.

I may disagree with them completely and believe that they are entirely wrong in their theology, however, no that does not make me hate them in any way. They're just wrong...

Do I hate them? No

I do however, pity them- for those who intentionally turn their backs on Jesus Christ, who refuse to acknowlege him, and make fun- well, God has his plans on how to deal with them.

Glad I'm not one of them
