It is against the law in all of Illinois to tattoo anyone under the age of 18. I have a studio in suburban Chicagoland.

It is a class A misdemeanor - no one will do that, parental permission doesn't work.

Sorry, you have to wait until you are 18.

Hmmm...don't know about that. I know in South Carolina...You have to be 21 to get one without a parent's consent.....18-20, with parental consent.

But then, our tattooing laws are all messed up.
