Where do you think you will go after you die?

Thanks everybody. kclightm I use to believe this too. I have had my spouse come to me in a dream right after he died (I was not aware that he ws dead yet) and all I felt was incredible amounts of love. A love so blissful I have not ever felt. He was trying to tell me something. I was pushing him away (we had argued previously) and he kept on "saying" without words "no you don't understand" Later I got a phone call and they told me he was dead. (In Christian religion they tell us this is deceiving spirits.) But it does make me believe in an afterlife.

I think what happens when we die is what we think happens when we die.

Terry Pratchett did a great job of this in "Johnny and the Dead".

I believe in reincarnation and I have been givin conformation on that belief. When you ask your god or goddess, in my case, a question and truly listen whit an open heart, you get the answer.

It has been revieled to me that me and my husband have found each other in every lifetime since the beginning of time. I have lived multipal times throughout the centuries of human existance, mostly as a woman and we have always foind each other for we are soal mates.

When we met it was instant recognition and we were narried within nine days. That was nine years ago and since then i have been near death and parralized but he has always stayed with me for we are soul mates and there is no one else on this earth who is for us.

The last time I died and was brought back this doctor came in and tried to talk me into giving up and dieing. She told me to think about it so I closed my eyes and it was revieled to me that my husbnd wouldnt stay without me. He wouldnt live wihtout me so I opened my eyes and told her I was staying.

Up until then I had been simi-comatose and had only brief moments of conciousness but, afte that, within a month I was dompletely well and ready to go home. It left me paralized but otherwise I am fine. Niether one of us can survive without the other.

We were born a week apart and I am very sure that when our time comes we will die very close together so our life cicle can stay in synch.

Blessed Be

Sort of

not an afterlife as christians do, but more that my energy of life will disperse back into the energy of life and be recycled into anew. it is a sort of reincarnation but not a one like the Buddhists believe.

so When I die i think the energy that makes my body operate just disperses back into the energy pool of existance and recyclced. the body is made up of the earth and will decomposs back into it if not cremated or such by human intervention.

I know it is not the same as others so I am very curious to read others views. I do not say mine is correct, it just how i think it is. that is why i want to hear the others and see thier views, im open to them.

What do you think?

I believe that there is a form of "heaven" or afterlife where we can spend eternity with our family and friends who have passed on, and I also believe that we are given the opportunity to reincarnate if we so choose. I believe that reincarnated souls come back for a reason or a purpose, that it's a choice that soul made.

The Norse Heathen can end up in any of the nine worlds, depending on how they conduct themselves here in Midgard. The most preferred place is Asgard the Halls of the gods and heroes.
The least preferred place is Niflheim, the coldest of nine worlds, the land of frost and mist. It is the equivalent of hell where oath-breakers, thieves, murderers, and perverts go.

Hel is actually another world. It's mostly just dark and quiet, where you can think about how you could have made your life better. Basically, slackers go there.

Not all pagans practice magic. Just an FYI

I beleive the gods will put me where they want me to be and I'm not going to spend my life stressing over it, that's for sure. I am living this life, right now. I trust the gods. And I hear that Thor's is the place to be though....

I expect I'll end up in the Otherworld. Exactly what part of it, not quite sure yet. But that's the way it goes, isn't it?

after death, my body will fade back into the earth and the energy of my soul will fade back into the flow that leads back to the source of all things. some bits of my energy may come back but my soul as it is now will not return.

Sure do.
Hopefully, I'll get to the Halls of my Gods. Bilskirnir is my target.

Yes I believe we rejoin with our higher self. That is the part that knows god. Then we reincarnate until we can ascend to rejoin god.
