I am a recently retired teacher and I worked 4 years in retail, accents are things learned at baby age and are imprinted in the brain like many things. I love accents, any kind !!! It makes the other person special to me and I love to find out their words. the hispanics that came thru and knew little English when I was cashiering, they taught me spanish words and I taught them english. maybe watch a tv show and practice repeating the lines I think that is how actors learn a foreign accent for their movies good luck

Your accent is fine. If people want to understand you, they will try. The more you speak with people, the less the accent will become an issue because you will copy their accents and they will learn (and to some extent copy) yours.

Enjoy your accent! It's yours and it's one of the few things that you can claim fully.

Try singing some English songs and mimicking the voices you hear. Then, instead of singing the songs, try to simply speak the words. Do this everyday. It was how I nailed my French accent.

be very articulate, keep practicing. maybe when you are watching tv repeat what the people on tv say and listen to how you sound compared to them. sometimes it also helps when you speak a foreign language slower, it might make you easier to understand. the only way you can learn to speak a foreign language with little or no accent is practicing and comparing yourself to how other people speak. good luck and don't get discouraged, you will get better.

you can't flick a switch and your accent will be gone, it will fade with practise. keep up with the speaking + try and get more practise in with talking with others, it will help a great deal.

cya mate ;)

Maybe you could watch tv or listen to the radio and practice repeating what they say.
