I was in London a couple of months back for a few weeks and though I found it beautiful, I really missed L.A. I missed the weather, the beach, the diversity in the options for food, my place, the radio stations... I never thought I was going to get so homesick like I did. I love L.A.

I've only lived here for 2 years and it feels more like home than the hell hole known as Dallas that I lived in for 34 years.
6 months after I was transferred out here I had to go back to Dallas on business and I couldn't wait to get back on the plane and go home to LA.
I missed the weather, the ocean, the scenary, the liberal politics, the palm trees and In-N-Out Burger. I missed being able to go to the roof of my apartment building and seeing the ocean 2 blocks away and the snow covered mountains in the distance. Everything that makes LA, LA.

The feeling that I have left civilization.

Yea, I complain about the city sometimes, but it seems when I just venture down to say Orange County, or up to Victorville the people are just so weird and rude! And they are like little clones of one another with one half brain that they all share.

And when I visit family in Texas it's like I'm from another world. Nobody understands me and I don't quite get them.

Definitely the weather. Also the convenience of having pretty much everything "close by".

The weather and only the weather. There is no place in the U.S.A. that can compare. We live 4 miles from the ocean and its wonderful weather all year.
