He's three years old, was born premature, but is very healthy...What could be going on here?

Normally, in an adult, these symptoms of slurred speech and droopy smiles are suggestive of CVA if they are of acute onset. However, in a young child as young as 3 yr- old,one suspects these symptoms episodes as seizures in epilepsy..Another cause would be a tumor or brain infection such as meningitis and seizures in children due to high fevers. It's a good thing that he's going for an MRI to determine any brain malfunctions and determine the cause of these seizures as well as what part of the brain is affected.

It clearly sounds like a neurological problem. I suspect the MRI will help them to figure it out. I hope it's something that can be easily fixed.
