I never had panic attacks but did have anxiety for a quite a long time - I read a book called 'Feel the Fear..and do it anyway' by Susan Jeffers I think (is a really well known book and should be available at most large booksellers - or on amazaon.com etc) and also gave it to my brother in law who had extreme panic attacks - he found it extremely helpful. It teaches you that fear (and anxiety) is a normal feeling but helps you to move past it and see things as not so bad.

Also I think yoga is fantastic - try an easy one like HATHA yoga which is very easy and gentle and you feel amazingly relaxed and positive afterwards.

B vitamin complex supplement will give you more energy and make you feel more positive and UNLIKE things like Kava which someone else recommended there are no negative side effects.

If you have unresolved anger with someone a good way to help deal with that is to write them a letter - no holds barred - saying exactly what they did that made you so angry and upset and then DONT POST IT but rip it up into bits and throw it out.

You could also try accupuncture which does not hurt at all and can relieve neck pain, headaches, digestive problems etc and you feel really calm and settled afterwards - it is also great for emotional issues such as depression, anxiety and post partum depression etc. Good luck and hope you find something that works for you.

Oh something else that is good is a flower mixture called 'Bach flowers rescue remedy' which is awesome for panic attacks and can also be used on animals and children as it is so gentle and with no side effects.

Feel better!

well, let's see...
holistically speaking some people have had good results with kava kava, it is made from a plant of the same name and can be found in most places that sell supplements.
Valerian can also help this problem.
But in my experience the best way is to deal with the panic attack is by knowing what causes it and also by knowing that it will pass quickly if you relax. A panic attack is caused by the brain releasing a sudden dose of the hormone adrenaline into your blood stream.(why it does this, for no apparent reason, is unknown)
Adrenaline is a very rapid acting hormone and has a very short life span, actually about 15 minutes max.
Knowing this, you sit, and you focus on breathing very slowly and deeply while the adrenaline runs thru your system. IT WILL PASS if you allow it to. The problem is that people react to the things the adrenaline causes, like rapid heart rate and tight muscles by becoming frightened, this causes repeated release of the adrenaline and a continuation of all the symptoms adrenaline causes, only now it is because you are afraid and is an expected response,(our brains release adrenaline when we are afraid or excited) in other words, you allow it to continue. If you relax and know that the attack will pass quickly if you just breathe thru it for about 15 minutes, it will stop. I've had panic disorder for thirty years, trust me, I know how this stuff works.

How long does your neck have to hurt before you avail yourself of some care for the problem??? If you take a few minutes and visit a doctor of Chiropractic, that pain may disappear and so will your panic attacks.

If you have had pain for an extended period, there is, of necessity, an inflammatory process in action. One which involves the cranial nerves. You have other symptoms other than a sore neck and panic attacks. You have not mentioned them. Perhaps they are not quite as severe, so can over look them temporarily.

I am so sorry this is happening to you! It's a horrible feeling. Make sure that when it happens, you remember to take full, deep breaths, and let them out slowly. Keep in mind that what you are feeling is purely physical, and you are in control. You have to stay concious of what triggered the episode. You might want to keep a diary. Write in in every day. When you write things down, go really deep into your mind about what things might be bothering you, or what could have bothered you in the past that you haven't ever dealt with. When you face past experiences, you can better handle the future. I hope you feel better. Keep your head up. I would also recommend counseling in addition to the meds. Counselors can teach you how to cope and work through these situations. Good luck!

There is no medicine for hypertension. Pl be couragious. If you do it, Mr. Death will also run away!

Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, weight, sour food and constipation, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
COCOANUT WATER, fruits, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.

It is impossible to give all the things here, as your problem is rather tough.

Use very cold water and splash it in your face and your hands over and over. I know the sensation, but you can't die of that. It's extreme anxiety. Find out wht triggers these attacks, is it about our job, your apt, your husband, seach and find what, then you can master them. Something in your life drive you to this point.

Just find some hobby that relaxes you. Think positively. Stop caring what others think about you. Everyone has their faults.
