To clarify, I'm asking, if you were an atheist, would you lie and say you were a Christian in order to gain the votes of Christians, or the more likely, not lose votes because you are an atheist.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking:

Would a Christian say s/he is an atheist in order to gain votes?

or

Would an atheist say s/he is an Christian in order to gain votes?

The first would be political suicide, the second would be a necessity if one intended to win. Still, even though I'm an atheist I would tell the truth. But only if asked.

Texas isn't any doubt one among the main Republican states, yet counties alongside the Rio Grande voted DEMOCRATIC in 04. while you're a citizen, whether you may no longer communicate English, you have actually the right to vote. I would never say I was a Christian to get votes, it would just backfire if the truth came out. More likely, I would say I was an agnostic, because there's not nearly as much prejudice against them.

I wouldn't personally but politically you'd have to hide it if you ever hope to win cause there's an unwritten rule about being shot down the moment you announce that your atheist....

I am an atheist, actually. And I don't want to be President. I want to be Dictator. Or maybe Emperor. You don't have to lie to be Emperor.
