you can teach your dog anything I mean anything! as long as while your training them you show them what to do like if you wanted your dog to shake your hand or give me paw ( is what I use) then as you say it you grab your dogs paw and shake it , it will take awhile but your dog will surprise you they are pretty smart, and if you wanted to teach your dog to roll over, you have to be on the floor and roll over first and then guide them to roll over too. they are like kids so training them is hard but worth it. xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hi! My dogs can dance! Not just stand on their hind legs, but weave between my legs, circle, spin, walk backwards, walk sideways, circle around me backwards, roll over, fetch, bring, weave backwards through my legs and lots more! You can learn about dancing with dogs by going to Sonorancaninefreestylers@yahoogroups.com and see what all the fun is about! And google canine freestyle or doggy dancing. Great workout for both the dog and person! Danzin Diva

Anything that gets her a doggie treat! When you ask her to sit up, sit, dance, or any other word she knows, she will first look at your hand. IF she sees a treat in it, she will do as you're asking. If she sees no treat, she also sees no reason to comply with any human requests. Mercenary muttkin. I do like her and have taught her a couple of her tricks, but she really has quite the mercenary attitude about the whole thing.
She's not mine, but belongs to one of the other ladies with whom I share living quarters.

our black lab is 8 months and knows basic obedience plus:
shake a paw, shake the other paw, kisses, speak, bow (front down, butt up), lunge (the opposite of bow), roll over, play dead, fetch, and go get the keys, leash and purse. he also rings a bell when he's gotta go potty. oh and i can put a treat on his nose, and when i say he throws it and catches it.
Im a dog trainer so Ive gotten good at teaching these things. lol

I had a dog that could stand on it's back legs and turn in a circle. I called it dance.
My sisters basset hound will run in a circle while howling whenever someone says Paris Hilton.

We have a basset, about 3 years old. She knows...
Paw (meaning shake, and she knows which paw)
Sit
Stay
Stand
Beddie (meaning go to your crate for the night)
Potty-time
Up (meaning it's OK to jump up)
Out (when deliveries come to the door)
Wanna go walkin'?
And "Get the kitty!" (It's a joke, she doesn't hurt the cats but she'll chase them.)
