I have personally never touched it and I don't plan on using it as I have iMovie on my iMac. If it was me I would go for Ulead Studio, Pinnacle Studio or Adobe Premier which are very good video editing apps compared to WMM
However Windows movie maker is designed to import video footage from a DV cam.
You will need a DVD burner, forget the floppy drive, floppies are waaay to small for video
and a Firewire port for importing the video footage
you will also need a big 350GB+ HD as edting video chews up HD space like nothing else.
Look on Microsoft's site under Windows Movie Maker for tips and info on how to use and edit footage.
