Asides from taking a shower of course...my little sister went to Senior Paint Out today...it's where all the seniors in high school have this huge paint fight...she came home covered with paint from head to toe and took the longest shower ever. Despite the shower, her hair still has bits of paint all over...

What are some ways to get the paint out? Surely there are tricks to do that.

I have used Dawn dish washing detergent to wash paint out of my hair. Lather it up and let it set for a few minutes. Rinse well and condition. Comb out any left over with a small tooth comb. Good Luck.

Well, it does depend on what type of paint.... but I recommend something oily to help dissolve most kinds of paint. Most rich conditioners are fairly oily. You may want to experiment with mixing a conditioner and a little bit of cooking oil (coconut, olive... or whatever you have.). Try a small area at a time. You'll need to gently rub and see if you can get it to start peeling off.

Please *please* be careful about using alcohol or acetone. These may strip the paint, but they may also weaken the hair so much that it breaks off. I could be very helpful contact a few salons to find someone who can help.

Good luck!!

Apply a little kerosene onto a piece of cloth. Then wipe off the paint in the hair with the cloth.
Alternatively you can use a bit of Alcohol instead of kerosene.
Then when all the paint comes off shampoo your sister's hair thouroughly.

You should use something really really oily on your hair. Like butter, mayo, baby oil, or if it is really bad you should get some paint thinner. But you really have to be careful that you don't get that stuff in your eyes. It's not something that you want to take in the shower with you, If you use the paint thinner you should wash your hair in the sink or something and that should do the job.

Peanut butter will eliminate the paint. For goodness sakes, do not use any form of paint thinner or paint remover! Peanut butter will additionally eliminate chewing gum. basically rub it into the spots, then shampoo the hair to eliminate the peanut butter. If she's allergic to peanut butter, use mayonaise or basically undeniable olive oil, it may desire to take longer, in spite of the shown fact that it is going to artwork.

try acetone, a nail polish remover. She san remove it by paint thinner but its a strong chemical that might damaged your sister's hair. Or she can try a new hair cut if its not that worse.
