If you did earn the Eagle rank, you should list it under your achievements. If you are not an Eagle Scout, it might prove embarrassing if you get questioned about the award.

Holding the rank of Eagle shows a potential employer that you know how to work unsupervised, lead others to accomplish a task, and that you are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient and cheerful. All are qualities that an employer values.

It's still on my resume and I've been working for a few years. It's pretty dorky and of no value 90% of the time, but it can be a good conversation starter at an interview. Also, people like to hire what they are familiar with, and if they are an eagle scout (or their son is, etc), they may be a little less likely to toss your resume aside.

Don't make a big deal out of it, just include it as a line item or as a part of a group of other nonspecific things you've done.

I got my Eagle in '76 and still list it high on my resume. It has helped many times.

Definitely list it, under volunteer activities.
