Netscape is a good backup or replacement internet browser to Internet Explorer. In fact I find Netscape is noticeably faster to load webspages than IE does.

Itunes is good if you purchase or have an existing library of music/movies downloaded from apple.com.

I personally don't use Itunes and don't have an Ipod. Never got into that fad probably cause I drive a car for a living and love satellite radio.

So, would my computer be effected negatively if I remove Netscape? I mainly use Firefox and sometimes IE (Yahoo!).

You need Netscape if you do not have Internet Explorer. It is a matter of personal preference. If you intend to stick with Internet Explorer, remove Netscape.

ITunes is not necessary - it is a goodie for some, and a must-have for others.
Before you go removing unnecessary programs, be careful you don't remove any system files.

It is if you want to listen to music and buy music from the iTunes music store. Alternatively you could use WMP or Winamp.

No to both if you don't use them.
