I haven't heard that this would be normal. Get it checked out, because it could be different things, like Kidney problems or Heart problems. I don't want to scare you and I am not a Doctor, but that's not normal.

Its normal to a point. Could it be a new medichine youre on, or have you been on your feet a lot? Getting a little bit of swelling before menses is normal, but not if it stays that way for over about 4 days

hi hun, im sure you know the signs if you had it last time but: What are the warning signs for pre-eclampsia? Pre-eclampsia is a serious condition. In rare cases it can lead to complications such as HELLP syndrome which can develop before the pre-eclampsia has been diagnosed. Symptoms of HELLP syndrome include headaches, nausea and pain in your upper abdomen. Occasionally pre-eclampsia develops very quickly. So, if you have any sudden swelling, or intense headaches accompanied by blurred vision or spots before the eyes, or if you have severe pain in the top of your abdomen, don't hesitate to call your doctor or midwife. Early detection and care can make a big difference in the course of pre-eclampsia. i had it from about 34 weeks with my last baby and i know it can develop from any time after 20 weeks so you really should get checked out hun, its really not worth taking the risk. good luck hun and i hope its nothing serious x

yes swelling is normal before during your menses.. if your body is retaining too much fluids like breaking out in heat rashes in the swell areas then you need to be placed on meds for this if you think you have a serious problem you need to see a dr.. fluid build-up could damage your heart and lungs..

water retention before a menstrual period is common and can cause mild swelling of the feet and ankles. Drink a lot of tea the two weeks prior and eat potassium rich foods and this should solve your problem.
Too much swelling would be like not being able to get your shoes on.

Do you stand and walk more than you are sitting? Does your family have a history of diabetes (not saying you do but get that checked out). It could be a sign of pregnancy.
