A. the bible is God's word...it is ALWAYS right
B. this is one of my favorite verses
C. this is the essence of Christianity, if you believe this, then your a Christian
D. YES! this is true. pray to the Lord that you are a sinner, and want to be forviven. then, he will forvive you, because Jesus died for your sins, and the Holy Sprit will come into your heart.
however, Jesus was baptised to show that it is good, yet the babptising is only a symbol, there is no magic water to wash your sins away, only Jesus's blood could do that,

it's your choice whether or not to believe this, but it is the only way to be saved and go to heaven

No it is not wrong at all. You need to repent for the remission of sins. Baptism is important but it does not save you. Let me ask you something. Would a non-Christian be baptized with the Holy Spirit? Or do you have to be saved to have the baptism? Read Acts 10:44-46. Cornelius is baptized with the Holy Spirit and speaks in tongues. Only later is he baptized in water. Thus he was saved without being baptized. What about the thief on the cross? He was saved and not baptized.

Would you mind showing me a verse that says specifically if you are not baptized you go to Hell.

Repent,
Be baptized everyone of you
In the Name of Jesus Christ
for remission {literally means neglecting}
sin
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

So your question Acts 2:38 right or wrong is "right" Repent everyone- be baptized as a sign of your faith in Christ- in His Name, neglecting sin {turning from it, avoid it} and you will receive the Gift of His Holy Spirit.

Right

Can it be said that these were baptized in the name of (in recognition of) the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit? Yes. Though Peter did not tell them to get baptized in the name of the Father, they already recognized Jehovah as Sovereign Lord, since they were natural Jews, members of a nation dedicated to Him. Peter did say: ‘Be baptized in the name of the Son.’ So their baptism signified their recognition of Jesus as Lord and Christ. They were now his disciples and accepted that forgiveness of sins was henceforth through him. Finally, the baptism was in recognition of the holy spirit, and it was undergone in response to the promise that they would receive the spirit as a free gift.

I think it is right. I believe it refers to coming to a deep realization of who Christ is and understanding that we have been equipped to pass through similar ordeals (parallel, rather) - but that we have handled them in a worldy or human manner instead of spiritually. After we accept that, we can move forward and inevidibly, every experience we walk into will be guided by the Holy Spirit. I am curious as to the contextual meaning of the word "baptize"... my uncle swears it means baptized in water - or else (my uncle is a NUT)!

38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit seemed more readily available to the believers then, maybe it is our scepticism or our faith isn't up to what they had then but I believe many do still recieve it... if they have enough faith. The Holy Spirit is there trying to guide even the sorriest Christians though but we make it hard for him to help us too.

Yes, it's right, and a cross-reference to this scripture is in Luke 24:47.

Right. As Christians we are taught to be baptised by water and also by the Spirit.
