Whether you believe or not the word of God is truth, whether you believe in God or not God lives. Amen!

How without belief can we know the truth?

How WITH belief can we know that we know the truth?

Each of us forms a set of beliefs, a lens through which we understand the world around us. We do this based on our personalities, culture, etc. and whether our "lens" involves religion, atheism, philosophy, science, psychology or whatever - none of us has the ability to know what there is that we don't know, and we can not gather and assimilate information except for what our meager senses can detect and our meager brains can analyze. And we can not "see" beyond the physical box (Universe) that we exist in.

For those reasons our "lens" at best is a functional metaphor for something that we can not fully understand. Therefore, NONE of us know TRUTH and thus EVERY ONE OF US lives according to a delusion of our own choosing.

Belief is not necessary to know truth.

Truth cannot even be known.

Belief doesn't need to be true.

They are completely unrelated.
