What are you praying for and do you believe that God will answer? I am praying for my mom's salvation and I believe that she will be in heaven when she dies. I will be happy to include your prayer request in my prayer time this evening. God Bless Everyone Tonight!

That is true about what are we not praying for. I know we all have needs, some more than others.

I pray alot, and do believe the LORD, God will answer them in His own way. His answer may not be want I expected, but I know He will answer them as either, yes, or no, wait til later, or no, I have something better in store for you." I do not believe in public announcing what I pray for, for the LORD, God said it pleases Him to pray to Him, in a private place. He desires that your prayers are reserved for Him, only. The LORD, God said, (believe He speaks the truth to me), that, if you publically announce or tell everyone your prayers, they will go as high as the ceiling (or, in other words, go unanswered). It pleases the LORD, God to say your prayers in private (or a private place), and do your good deeds in a silent/ secret way. God knows all people's secrets, good and bad. He will keep all your secrets, and reward you for the good ones, in His own special way. People are not good in keeping your secrets, and if found out, whether good or bad, will not bother rewarding you for the good ones (by taking advantage of your kindness) and condemn you for the bad ones, so what's to use of telling others? Share everything you want heard and answered, to the LORD, God, instead.

I pray that my mother will get on medication and get counselling to she can have a normal life and just possibly want a relationship with me. She quit talking to me a year and a half ago, and seems to be going down hill. She is only 57.

I pray my hurt will go away too. That is the only thing I can do, as I can control none of it. Its out of my hands.

I will pray for your mom too.

When I do spend quanity/quality time in prayer, I enjoy my prayer time so much, but I keep finding myself praying for the desire to really pray (more than just "Lord, help me here" OR "Thank you Lord!".

Starting out with a prayer of "Adoring God" and choosing a specific attribute of God, makes my mind focus on what is truly important.... It's not about ME!

Then, I feel it's important to come to God in prayer with a clean heart. If I have some sort of sinful attitude or have done something of passive resistence or open rebellion against God's plan for my life, I tell God about those sins.

Then, I try to thank God for answered prayer. This helps me to realize the power of prayer before I ask God to meet my needs or those needs of others that I know about.

Then, I tell God my needs....as well as other's needs. I actually have an excel spreadsheet on which I write names of people I pray for each day of the week. I pray for my family every day...it has been so energizing to pray Scripture for them, knowing that God's Word is God's will for them.

On Sunday, I pray for the needs of our church family. On Monday, I pray for missionary's needs. On Tuesday, I pray for local ministries & wisdom for all levels of government. On Wednesday, I pray for World Mission Organizations (different from specific missionaeries that I know). On Thursday, I pray for neighbors and friends. On Friday, I pray for my extended family and on Saturday, I pray for those who don't yet know the saving grace of God.

I pray to keep my loved ones safe and I pray that God will look after those I know who have past. I hope God will answer, even if he doesn't I feel as though I'm doing my part in keeping them as safe as I can.

I mostly pray for forgiveness, the evil wretched creature that I am. I pray for the salvation of those who are lost, I pray for wisdom and humility for us saints, I pray for protection of children, and I pray for all of us to think about others before ourselves.....there are MANY other things I pray for, this is to me the most important.

I wasn't saved when my two oldest children ,Barbara and Stephen were born and therefore didn't bring them up in the Lord, they are not saved and I wish you could pray for God to bring them into the family of God. I trust God that He will do it , just like you said with your mother. God is just that kind of a God.

I pray for forgiveness, for comfort, for good health for me and my loved ones. I pray my loved ones will devote their lives to Christ. And I have a list of people I make from church, Yahoo answers, my prayer group, and people I know that I pray for.

And I will add you mom to my list! :)
