If you are asking the question, then you already know it's wrong!

Why do you consider yourself a Christian? Because you go to church? Because you are a member of a group? Or because you have Christ in control of your life? Guess which one of those is actually a Christian?

You shouldn't have to drink to be "cool". If you do drink, something bad could happen, such as a car accident, or even you ending up getting drugged and poisoned. You could even get caught by police, and by you being a minor, that would mean major, major trouble. Hanging out with your friends is cool, but drinking shouldn't have to be part of it. Wait until you're older and more maturer to handle the responsibilities of drinking alcohol. Don't lie to your parents any more. If you love and respect them, you won't do something stupid that could cost you your life. You've got a lot to live for. You'd be keeping yourself out of harm's way when you don't drink.

Don't hurt yourself and your parents any further. Take the mature road, and skip the drinking. You'll be better off in the end.

Yes it is morally wrong to lie to your parents. You do not have to drink. Be your own person. You should not be drinking at your age and your friends are at risk for giving you alcohol. Even if they are not the legal drinking age they can still get into trouble for contributing to you if the are over 18 years old. Make sure that you do not drink and drive and never get into the car with someone who has been drinking. Keep yourself safe.

most christians would say that lying is morally wrong for sure, especially to your parents.

some christians are more lenient with the whole alcohol thing, so that depends. i'd say more christians would say don't drink.

there's a third moral issue you've left out. since it's against the law to drink if you're under age, it's probably immoral to break the law by drinking.

drinking is overrated, especially among high school and college students. if you can't have fun without alcohol, you need to get a life. or different friends.

The fact that you are even asking that question tells me you must be feeling convicted by the spirit. If indeed you consider yourself a christian then you know that lying in and of itself is wrong. As far as the drinking the bible says nothing really on the point of drinking outside of to remain Sober minded so to drink and get drunk may be wrong but to socially have a drink or two that is something you will have to determine between you and the holy spirit dwelling within you.Trust me the spirit will let you know right and wrong but you have the free will to decide wether or not you will listen. Know this the more you ignore the spirit the harder it will become to hear him

Yes and no. I think there's nothing wrong with drinking (or whatever) if it's done in moderation. For some people this might be one or two drinks, for others who can hold more liquor, it might be more. If you go overboard, it could be considered "wrong" though, because you could end up hurting someone or getting in a lot of trouble. Also, you're underage, so you should think about that too. I don't know if your parents drink, but if they do, they probably wouldn't be that upset if you just had a couple beers or something. Good luck!

As a Christian, it is wrong to lie, that is breaking one of the commandments. Going to the college and drinking is in a way breaking another commandment, honoring your mother and father.
I would say that you do not have to drink to have fun. When I was that age, I drank occassionally, but I always found it more fun to just sit back and watch all of the others get drunk and be really dumb! I had a blast doing that. It was hillarious! You should try it!

Yes. What's wrong with telling that that you are going there, will be drinking and will be safe and not get in a vehicle? Also, let them know that you will be careful, won't drink a lot and will suffer whatever consequences that go along with deciding to drink without any complaint. It is morally wrong to lie to your parents. As long as they know that you're going to be safe and smart, they probably won't have a problem with it.

Not nessecarily. But its not good for you to keep something from them if you feel like they need to know.
Telling the truth is always an option, and it isn't as bad as it seems. Although it may suck while you're going through it, it'll be a lot easier than lying.

There's 2 ways the truth can turn out if you tell them:
They might be disappointed for awhile, but get over it with time.
Or they might be glad that you were honest with them.
It depends on the kind of people they are. Either way, its better to get everything clear with them than to live feeling guilty all the time.

Unless your parents are kinda clueless they'll know you'll be exposed to drinking while visiting friends in college.
Yes, it is morally wrong to drink while you are underage.
Yes, it is morally wrong to lie to your parents.
Yes, it is wrong to drink (to get drunk) if you call yourself a Christian...not to mention you will be breaking a law, therefore THAT is wrong too if you consider yourself a Christian.
My advice is don't put yourself into a situation where you know you will be tempted.

If you lie to your parents, and disobey them, you will be conducting yourself as a bad Christian, and therefore a bad example of a Christian (which militant atheists are always eager to find). You will be giving Christianity a bad name if you lie and people know you refer to yourself as being Christian. Why not talk to your parents about the situation. I'm sure they would be able to relate. Alcohol mis-use could ruin your life (or someone else's).
