It shows there is a commitment there between a man and a woman, its not like a marriage. But its sort of the second building block to heading in that direction. Also if it doesn't work out you still have some idea what you want in a man or woman that you want to spend the rest of your life with. The types of qualities that you feel that complement yours. More than that though its finding someone that you can hang out with share common interests, cuddle up and have someone there that can share your ups and downs, and highs and lows with. Even someone that cares enough about you to love you for who you are. I mean some people think you can find that with friends and family. But really you can't. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend that is really a decent person and what not that sees you as someone that makes their life and their day better and vice versus. If you don't have that feeling from anyone else and when you first feel it, you will know you have truly found a beautiful piece of heaven. That is what it means to me. But to others I'm sure it means just eatting and having sex. Mainly the sex part of it all.

well im not in a relationship, and i dont have kids. but.. no. a bf/gf relationship without a child doesnt mean less than a bf/gf relationship with a child. all that matters is that the bf and gf in that relationship love each other. some couples want kids, and some just dont. it doesnt really matter. its just a new experience. i think the only difference might be the commitment. because if a bf and gf break up and dont have a kid, that could just be the end of it. but if they do have a kid, they have to think of their kid too instead of just thinking of themselves. and i think your other question is if you have a kid and you're not married, what types of things should change?.... well some people think that the 'right thing to do' is to get married. but you dont really have to. the only things that would change is things like, thinking of your kid first. In terms of safety, having time for them, and money for them. you also have to be careful what you say/do in front of them. and if you want specifics, you should get a baby book or something maybe.

yes, absolutely it means less. a child isnt some game...you need to be serious about having a child so it grows up with the proper support. a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with a child means responsibility, and it means you have to stop being selfish and working solely off your emotions in the relationship. you have to put the child before yourself; thats why its more important.

Courtship. Courtship is picking someone who you feel you want to marry. Someone who can support you, love you, guide you. Now to pick that person you need to date...Dating is one person for a year or two. A date is an event with two or more people enjoying the same interest and as you date different people you see what you like and do not like and when you find that one person you begin to court (or be exclusive bf/gf). It's abput being with someone you really care about, someone who's there when things suck, someone you can just... hang out with, a BF or a GF are friends that are there to help you, and besides, let's not forget the kissin part lol :-)

...with a nice boyfriend....a relationship can be really sweet and supportive...yet the problem is finding that one nice person....someone that cares and is loving....

Its for, and im only an 8th grader, to be with someone, to care about them, to be with them during the bad moments, and the good, for makin out, and to eventually marry, and have children. =)
