Don't listen to people who say MAYBE.. He isn't going to become wimpy because he is neutered.. That's just silly.. What do you think he is suddenly going to be limp pawed and start wanting to make fabulous meals when you aren't home, cleaning, watching soaps and chasing the male dogs on the street??
He won't be any different than he is now, except that he will be a better pet cause he has only you to concentrate on. He will have less chance for health issues.
He won't need as much food, and he will still need to get good exercise.. Otherwise he'll still be the same dog he was before.

Nope he will be the same looking same dog...just not misbehaving when a female in heat is close by..which can be miles away! Plus health benefits of testicular cancer. He will not become wimpy either, my parents two male dogs are neutered, one is a malamute and one a jack russell both are the same as before and the malamute had been used to breed before they got him, he still acts like a dog no wimpiness or laziness.

No, your dog will not lose his masculinity. My male dog is neutered and he was a little "off beat" for a couple of days, but he bounced right back and is back to his regular "man-dog" self. The only difference is now I know he won't be a baby daddy in the future.

That is the typical reason too many men won't neuter their dogs--they think it will hurt his manhood somehow.
He will NOT become wimpy! He just won't run for miles to find a mate and attack other male dogs. He won't roam to find bitches to breed with; he won't pee inside to mark his territory. Oh yeah and he won't get testicular cancer.
It is true intact (non-neutered) males are more fierce, but that is not really a good thing. More often intact males are vicious than neutered. (That is why Vick did not neuter his dogs--with their cruel training added to their "masculinity" they were fiercer in the fighting ring.)
Anyhow, bulldogs don't have much masculinity in the first place; how much can you take from one? It is like taking money from a pauper.

I am going to be honest with you: I much rather have my dog be wimpy then going out getting other dogs pregnant and populating the world with more dogs that will never find good good homes! So please I would worry about the wimpy part just think of the fact your doing him and other dogs a favor!

No, but he will lose the risk of getting testicular cancer. He'll be a lot healthier if you neuter him. So do him a big ol' favor and get him neutered.

I just had my dog neutered. the only real change in his behavior is that he is not obsessed with marking all over the house. neutering your dog is the best way to go

Well, he will no longer produce certain male hormones, but he will not become wimpy! Only experienced dog handlers should leave their dogs intact, as there are potential problems.

It will calm him down and eliminate the chance of him getting testicular cancer, which is VERY common in dogs.
And no, it will not make him a wimp.
It will probably make him happier because he wont be thinking about trying to get out of your yard and "spread his seed"

Let me tell you my miniature schnauzer is neutered and he is defiantely not whimpy. He is a tough little guy. neutering not only keeps him from reproducing, but it will keep him healthy, keep him from marking his territory, and help with dominance issues. I went over this all with my vet before having my boy neutered. Below is a great link for you to check out.
