I am 22 yrs old, live on my own - my parents want to know why I think it is ok to have sex with my boyfriend of 2 years. I am currently on non-speaking terms with them, because anytime I see them I get a bible lecture. Am I being wrong?

I want to add that I think it is ok, and that is why I do it. I don't believe in sleeping around with people you don't know..but in a long term, serious relationship, I think it is ok. But my parents make me feel like a sinner, and I don't think that is fair. I feel that they should respect my choices.

They want the best for you. Now because they feel they have nothing in common or feel estranged from you they use what is comfortable to them to connect. In their case Bible lectures. You have to let them know all you want them to do is love, support, and guide you. But they need to know you have to live your own life and make your own choices. But that you will listen to them. They do not have to "preach" to or at you.
As for those choices your faith in Jesus will help guide those. Now you asked on Answers if premarital sex is ok so you must have doubts that it is otherwise you would not have asked. God has someone picked out for you. Somewhere this guy is waiting for you as you are waiting for them. Staying pure is the most precious gift you can give. I hope this helps....

You are 22 - and you are an independent woman - just be responsible - use protection. The bible is a crock of... sh... Think of it this way - women who end up cheating are the ones who waited around forever to "give" their virginity to their husbands.
EDIT - Read When God Was a Woman - you'll see that the bible - is just a book. You can lead a moral life without it. I know I do.

on the religious level of christianity, it is wrong. whether you decide to have premarital sex, or not, is up to you and your principles/values. I hope you don't just do it to defy your parents.

Did your parents have premarital sex? If not can they prove it to you? You live your life and tell them to live theirs.
