GO FOR THE SONY !!

I checked BOTH and there is ONE DETAIL that Sony had that Samsung did not show....

NATIVE CONTRAST RATIO....2000 : 1 is REAL GOOD....

The dynamic contrast is actually done by stretching/shrinking the black-to-white and white-to-black variations of the signal, and of course that means they are distorting the original signal (in a good way). But it's distortion no matter how you look at it....

The Sony costs less, but has that WONDERFUL Motion Flow® technology that you will love with Football and racing and Fast Games....

The Samsung 46" LN-T4661F at a list price of $2500 topped the list in the Consumer Reports latest study with a score of 79. Close behind, with a score of 76, was the Sony Bravia KDL-46S3000, also rated a Best Buy at $1800. Picture and sound quality was similar among these two models. The Samsung had a much better on-screen menu, but the Sony got a higher score on its remote control. Personally, I'd pick the Sony and save $700.

Samsung is a reputable brand, but the Sony XBR series gets rave reviews. (Check Consumer Reports or any of the on-line reviews.) The best test is to look at them side-by-side at Best Buy, Circuit City, or Fry's. Picture quality can't be judged by specs.

hmm ive always had good luck with sony products but that samsung seems pretty badass. im not too informed about the new high tech hdtv's and really dont know what the specs mean per say but it seems the samsung would be a good bet.
