There's a certain number which has been prank calling us for a while now. Is there a way to block this number? Is it something you need to pay for?

Thanks:)

My phone company (which uses fiber-optic digital) says hang up on the caller, lift the receiver immediately, dial *60, and listen for the confirmation message saying blocking is activated. There is no charge.

Call your phone company and ask them. I don't know if it cost anything but I had a block put on my phone and they are great especially with all the prank calls that I use to get.

Yes, there is a way to block it but it does require a service from the phone company.
Another thing to do, if you happen to have select call forwarding, is to forward the call to the police department.....that one works wonders!
or to be sneaky - answer the call and using a different voice say the name of the city you live in and the word please after it and a last name.
i.e. Oakland Please - Richards
I did that to someone that was nosey and kept call returning me to see who had called (the call was not for them - they were visiting a friend). They didn't call again. ; )
Hope it works

I believe you have to contact your phone company, I think it's call blacklisting. Each company is different.
