I have a kidney disease, and I am on dialysis. For the past two weeks, I have been extremely dizzy, and when I get up, even if I don't get up fast, I get lightheaded and then I get those little colored dot things in my vision field then I just completely cannot see. Also, the other day, my body started to convulse when that happened, and it happened twice in one day. It was one of those things where I could hear everyone, but could not talk. My body just felt like giving out on me and collapsing, but I couldn't? HELP ME PLEASE:[

I am so sorry to hear of your suffering. I sounds like you have an electrolyte imbalance. As you may know, your potassium needs to be closely monitored in patients that undergo dialysis. If you ever have symptoms like these again, you need to go to your emergency room, have someone drive you or call an ambulance. If you are getting ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, there occationally are problems with infections. In that case you will experience fever. I will pray for you tonight and hope you will recover sometime soon.

Call your dialysis unit coordinator now. Someone is available to speak with you because anyone on dialysis has to be checked. Call your Nephrologist because your medicine probably needs to be changed.
