do you have to pay taxes on money inherited from Malaysia coming to the USA?

we have inheritated money from a family member who has lived in malaysia for a long time now. will we have to pay taxes on it since we live in the USA and if so what is the percentage of tax we would pay? we live in chandler az.

Hi,is there any way you can get the money tranferred into a off shore account that has links to your bank.I would go & ask your bank.Good Luck

Not sure why you have posted to UK Taxes section, however I would guess that any Taxes would be paid to the Malaysion Government before the remaining value is transfered to you ..
