im realllly angry ive been doing excersize for 8 months..what i mean by excersize i mean ive been jumproping ive been running i box...i box alot i go to the gym like 3 times a week i do crunches ALOT OF JUMPING JACKS hillraisers or something like that ive done so much other things...and IVE GAINED weight WTF i dont get it!! how can i gain weight when i come home all sweaty i thought i was loosing weight but it was the opposite i gained 40 pounds WTH!!!trust me all the excersize i did...i did it right...i dont know what to do how can i have gained weight from doing so much excersize

Diet is important, no matter what your goal. You can lift your but off, or run it off, but if your diet is crap, your results will be crap. By diet, we don't mean cutting calories and not eating, as a matter of fact that's far from the truth. Diet is a term used to describe a healthy eating plan, consisting of 6-7 meals a day with a protein source in each. A bulking diet (trying to gain muscle mass) usually involves high calories, including high amounts of protein (1gram / lb of body weight). Cutting usually means taking in less carbohydrates, and a little less fat (no, this isn't the atkins, you will eat carbs). Most of your fats should come from healthy sources, EFA's like flax and fish. The majority of your carbs should be from complex sources (brown rice, oatmeal, etc.). And you should get as much protein from natural sources as possible, and fill the rest (if any) with shakes.

If you've gained 40 pounds your obviously eating too much junk and too many calories. You need to be in a DEFICIT calorie diet to lose weight.

You could be over exercising or doing the exercises wrong. You may be eating all the incorrect foods.
