If the Mayans could predict the future properly, they would probably still be around, eh?

No, the Earth isn't going to die or blow up like you imagine or what you'd seen in a movie or on television. It's only recently Americans have taken interest in the Mayan calender. Just only when it was religiously mentioned and being as a taken merit to bring fear with Revelation in the bible, dramatizing religious fear into people in your country. Every 3600 years this astrological event takes place in our solar system and on 12/ 21/ 2012 this astrological event is going to happen again when a planet called Nibiru orbits back into our solar system and twin orbits along side with the our planet earth causing what is astronomically called the Jupiter effect weve had many of them when the planets line up and were not floating out in space.

The Hubble Telescope has located this planet which is referred as planet X. Astronomers used ancient Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian, and Mayan text to locate Nibiru and found it returning back into our solar system. This discovery made Pluto in our solar system become a non planet. The Mayan calender has accurately predicted all astrological events we have witnessed in our lifetimes as eclipses of the Earth, Sun and our Moon or when the planets line up or when eg : Mars or Venus are very close to the Earth. There will be other extraterrestrial events at this time which will be an end to the way we think or what we know being human beings not a end of the world event.
So don't get caught up with all the end of the world dogma or start digging a hole to hide in and you'll enjoy your drink on your 21st birthday and many years after. I just can't wait to see these americanized fear films or US people on TV walking around with end of the world signs speaking psychotic dogma.

I am not sure if the mayan's or Chinese are correct in predicting the end of time. However, the only thing that gets me is the 2 major solar events that will take place during the same time. Solar maximus and polar shift.

The polar shift is what kind of gets to me the most, because if it is true, the entire map of the earth will change and that can't be good for anybody.

No- the calender doesn't mean that we're all going to die.. There is more than likely going to be great change however (the calender may well repeat, begin again), there is the possibility that the Suns and the Earths polarties will switch, bringing great destruction, but we won't ~all~ die.

I suggest that people prepare for the worst, and when it comes, to celebrate all the good times and the good things that man has & will achieve.

People have to stop waiting for someone else to save them and get off their arses & save themselves for a change!

NASA predicts that the Sun will reverse its own magnetic poles during 2012 as result of reaching the end of the current 11-year sunspot cycle. A new spiritual awakening will most likely take place. A very evil awakening. A new age will briefly be upon us. Lucifer will be sitting on his throne. The New World Order will have reached its apex. Our governments will have accomplished their goal. Good has already won though... Evil just doesn't know it yet.

I don't believe so, but there was a documentary on the Discover Channel a couple of nights ago about it. Supposedly it is the date that the earth is going to be aligned perfectly with the sun and the black hole in the milky way. From what they say, there is a good possiblilty for a lot of crap to happen when that occurs (massive volcanoe explosions and such) but I don't remember all the details.

By the mayan account 12/21/12 will be the time of great change, not the death of everyone.

There is no reason to believe that day will be anything special.

The Earth will never "die." The earth will be here forever for people to inhabit it and live forever upon it. As Psalms 37:29 states "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it."
