One thing I heard was he killed a playmate by pushing him off a roof then brought him back to life. For some odd reason the Catholic Church banned that book from the Bible.

Well Jesus is mentioned on page 1 all the way thru to the last page. As for His childhood, he grew up, played, went to temple and did the things most kids do at that age. Just because it is not mentioned in the bible does not mean He didnt have a childhood

There are no official Bible accounts of what Jesus did as a young man...only that he spent his early childhood in Egypt.
However, from the way he speaks and the things he says, experts say he is likely to have grown up in the country...he is very familiar with agriculture.

There is one theory that He spent a lot of His teenage and young adult years in the sect of the Essenes at Qumran. The reason this theory is put forth is that some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are dated before His time and have word for word some of the messages He preached. They also believed in baptism by water ... they just did it every day.
Some also say that John the Baptist went with Him to Qumran, but never joined the Essene sect, preferring to remain in the caves above Qumran. See, apparently part of their "initiation" was that you had to live in those caves for 2 years before being allowed in. Jesus supposedly entered the sect, but John preferred to remain in the caves.
Another reason which points to His being in Qumran is that they think His father wanted to keep Him hidden from His enemies ... when they returned from Egypt, he immediately "enrolled" Jesus in the Essene sect.
This is all speculation of course, based upon evidence found. I suppose no one but Jesus really knows for sure lol

The Bible speaks of him as a carpenter. He experienced the normal temptations of a regular teenager, but then he would turn away from the temptations. Your right, the Bible doesn't teach us much about him until the age of 30.
"Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited., but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in human likeness" (Philippians 2:6-7) That means he became fully human, not just as a baby but in his boyhood and teenage and adult years. He experienced all that we experience. The Epistle to the Hebrews says "we have one who in every respect has been tested (tempted) as we are yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). So let's look at that from the point of view of three very typical human experiences.
Jesus also had brothers and sisters. When Jesus began preaching in his hometown, people said, "Are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all his sisters with us?" (Matthew 13:55-56). With four younger brothers and a number of sisters you can imagine the games, and fights, and upsets that occured in that big family.
But Jesus longed to be a rabbi. So he loved listening to the famous teachers of Jerusalem as they taught and discussed in the temple courts. His parents found him "sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers" (Luke 2:46-47).

Up until the age of 12, I believe Jesus helped His earthly father, Joseph with carpentry. After the age of 12 until He was 33, I believe Jesus spent time reading the writings of the Old Testament prophets and listening to people in the temple, all of which spoke of the Messiah's coming, which of course was Him!

No, he didn't just hang out and do nothing. He lived with His mother and father. He was a baby, a toddler, and then he came to the age of being instructed in the faith by his mother, then at age 12 he went to the synagogue to listen to the 'teachers'.......but instead, he taught them. Read the Gospels, it's a great story!!! When his folks couldn't find him for three days, (thinking he was with family), he got in trouble with MOM! Have you ever had a Jewish mother get mad at you! Ha! He lived a normal life......

The traditions of Glastonbury, England speak of Him as a lad traveling to the British Isles with his uncle Joseph of Arimathaea who was a wealthy tin merchant and owned mines in Britain. These traditions are documented in songs and pictures and many artifacts which have survived to this day.

A lot of those years are a mystery to us now. Records of him kept by the Romans don't show much of that time either, to my knowledge. There is a lot of speculation that he married (most people his age married by 20 I believe) the in/famous Mary Magdalene. But I don't want to cause controversey, so I won't go into that. Basically, nobody knows much for sure.

That's a hard one to answer because not even his parents knew where he was hanging out... and when they found out that he was in the Temple he told them off saying, "why were you looking for me? Don't you know that I need to be about my FATHER's business?" that is when Saint Joseph finally sank in his guts that he was not his legitimate father and dropped out of sight.
