It depends on why you want to learn it. If its for a holiday than you'll probably want different products than say, just to know basic conversation or read a book in a French. Overall, These two are the best of the best for learning French. Not only speaking, but reading.
I recommend:
Pimsleur (Audio CDs/Tapes with booklets): http://www.amazon.com/dp/0743550420?tag=thetwizzle&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0743550420&adid=10QT17NBFSSDAAQCYQZF&
Rosetta Stone (for the Mac/PC) : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TFA08S/002-1858858-1050405?ie=UTF8&tag=thetwizzle&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B000TFA08S
Those are the best of the best.

Why not go to your local library and check out their language learning CDs or buy them at Barnes & Nobel or Scheuller Books.

Try reading as much of the news in Le Monde online as you can (just don't buy into all of the viewpoints you might read there!)
