This is a moderately high pressure. Not emergency, but if this is the usual level of pressure it needs treatment.

That bp IS VERY dangerous if if it is correct. I work for 10 cardiologist. They will all say that it is a "stroke waiting to happen". The diastolic (bottom # or 110) is above 80, and 80 is on the higher end of normal. Whats worse is if your bp is constantly going really high then back to normal. If you have a home bp machine, take it to a walk in clinic or test it with someone who can take it manually with a bp cuff and steth. Maybe your home machine is inaccurate, needs new batteries, or just plain sucks. Please have it checked and if you are on bp medication call your dr. He/she may need to increase your dose or change meds. because they aren't working.

This not on the "high side"... It is dangerous... and needs treatment if it is that way all the time. 80 is borderline 90 is worrriesome, 100 and above needs medical intervention if you want to live a LONG life.

If it is a correct reading, then it is a potentially dangerous reading. Blood pressure changes for various reasons. A single reading is unimportant by itself. Your doctor is looking for a trend measured at the same time of day. If it remains high over a period of time, seek medical attention.

It is not super high, but if you have a family history of high blood pressure, you might talk to your doctor about it.
