Never heard of them, but I do know that the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) is the best way to go. Haven't got their number to hand, but I do know it's local rate and once your number is blocked, it's blocked. (Takes about 28 days)

Sadly it doesn't stop the fly-by-night cowboys out there, but the bonus with that is that you can be as rude as you like, 'cos they can't complain. They have broken the law by calling you in the first place

It's plainly a software program running on your PC ... now answer me this .. how could that stop phone calls ?

Yes, I can see how it might filter SKYPE calls .. but BT / cable phone calls ???

EDIT
OK, I just spent a bit of time reading how it works .. it's using your PC's MODEM (assuming your PC has one .. in which case I guess if the PC supports 'wake up on Modem call' it can be left in standby... ) ...

I must admit it looks quite clever .. mind you I would be VERY reluctant to let anything near my phone line (I'm well aware of the dubious software that dials up Premium Rate numbers for hours at a time :-) ) ..think I'll wait & see if it 'phones home' .... I wonder if an 'open source' version exists ?

NB> For an organisation dedicated to ridding us of junk phone calls, I'm a bit surprised they ask for our email addresses before downloading ('so you can manage your account' .. excuse me, I do not need an 'account' and for sure I do not want any more junk emails either :-) )... anyway, you can get it direct from download.com (link ...))
