The period depends of the workload of the clerk of court to issue the summons again. Thus, there is no fixed period.

My Mother failed to appear for jury duty last year and it took them another year to send her a summons. On this last summons it said that she failed to send in or call the court house about her summons. But she just went to her doctor to get her to sign it saying she can't go to jury duty and all is well with the world.

So I guess what I am saying is that it can possibly take days to weeks to months to years to get a new summons sent out to you...but it really depends upong what city you are in and the case load of the courts.

Depends on where you live and what the laws are for that jurisdiction. If you fail to report in Nevada, they don't send out another summons. The judge issues a bench warrant for your arrrest. If a policeman stops you for any reason, then he can arrest you.
