Hell no it's not ok!
What if the insurgent was in an American park and we shot 20 American kids to kill the insurgent?
I hate this question. It makes me sad.

When cowardly insurgents use human shields, this is what happens. They feed off of the "outrage" in the aftermath and try to rally media propaganda. I was there, I know the game. I'm not falling for it. Just an insurgent ploy = human shields. Get a clue buddy... Doesn't it seem a little funny that such a high number of civilians (exclusively women and children, mostly children) would be in such close proximity to such a large number of insurgents? With the advent of the precise munitions that we use, the only answer for this happening is a concerted effort to use children as human shields on the part of the insurgents. To view this as something done intentionally or carelessly by the U.S. is absurd and moronic.

Yeah that's sad to hear but first off, they are terrorists! Who actually decided to call these people insurgents? They are terrorists, plain and simple as that. I would imagine the majority of the children's deaths were by the hand of the terrorists rather than U.S. forces fighting them.
As already stated here, these "wonderful" people think nothing of using innocents as a crude form of body armor. Figuring coalition forces won't attack them because of that fact. hmmmmm someone in that neighborhood must be tired of their %#$&, how else do you think we found out about their little meeting place?
Yes it's sad children were killed but they are in a war zone, sorry that kind of thing does happen. No such thing as a clean war, except in Hollywood.

Everyone (including you and me) are someones child.
Yeah, they got zapped....sorry for them but that's what happens in war.
This is not a hostage situation that the SWAT boys handle, this is war.
You try to do the best you can but in the end people that are in the wrong place at the wrong time pay.
It sucks and that's why war should be avoided but when it is waged all must know that there will be a price paid by the innocents.
As for this kid, I am sorry for those Iraqi kids but glad it was them and not any of the kids on my team.

It's never alright to see civilians killed, but we have an enemy who has no regard for human life and will deliberately use these civilians as fodder to get to the American troops. These same insurgents were trained by Iranian and Syrian terrorist leaders who also taught Hezbollah in their skirmish against Israel, from Lebanon.
Point that crooked little finger of yours to the real culprits, that is, the Muslim terrorists who stage attacks in populated areas. so that civilians are killed and bleeding hearts like you blame our troops instead of those who stage the tragedy.

It is never ok when children, and civilians die as a result of military action, but when you are engaging an enemy who hides amongst the civilian population its going to be inevitable that casualties will occur.
Remember many deaths are caused in Iraq by insurgents and terrorists targeting civilians as well as military. Its not as one sided as you would have us believe.

War is Hell..... I would happily kill 1 million Iraqi people to save 1 American life. It's too bad about the kids, but if they were over the age of 3 then they were probably already corrupted and we would have to kill them at a later date anyway. My 2 cents.

No, it's not. I don't believe it's right for any child to die, but I have a news flash for you: the terrorists are beginning to use those children as human shields, and some of those children are also being used to go out, and engage in "Martyrdom" by becoming a suicide bomber. So, is it better to destroy the "Jihadist" or let them continue to plan out attacks against the U.S. and their own people?

Its called casualties of war. We try to prevent them, but you have to understand how these insurgents work. They surround themselves with kids and women and start shooting at us thinking we wont fire back. Its an unfortunate thing, but it happens.

If insurgents were men they wouldn't hide out under womens skirts. Urban warfare is brutal, no way around that
