WATER and lots of it. Drinking water will help your skin overall, not just your face.
Do you wear make-up? If yes, get a make-up remover from a sally beauty supply or ulta salon. Take off your makeup before you wash your face. The face soap doesn't always remove all that gunk.
And use a FACE soap. Clinique makes some nice ones and the ladies at the counter can help you choose the right one for your skin type. They also make a spot healer for those big ones and the left over marks they make.
And exfoilate! Dead skin cells can pile up and cause pimples. After all that, moisturize. Gel based moisturizers work best with oily skin.
And keep your fingers off your face! You know when you lean on your palm in class? Isn't that where some of those pimples pop up? Hands off the face please, at least till the worse passes.
And it does pass. Eventually

I know exactly what you are going through. My daughter went through the same thing. I tried everything, and nothing helped. So i DID go buy the proactive for her because at that age you are self conscious about the way you look. I was amazed at the results. It says use twice a day but I had her us it once daily and her skin is beautiful. Yes I have to be honest she will get a bump every now and then but to be bumpy like she was .... it's gone. And there are other things I did for her. I don't buy pop anymore she drinks more water now junk foods like chips the real greasy stuff I stopped bringing it in my house. And it really helped. Maybe you can try some of these tips. I hope you have success in clearing up your acne.

I know how you feel I had the same problem when I was in middle school, but there is hope. I'm eighteen and my skin is much improved! Typically your diet will not affect your skin unless you have food allergies. It's important to keep your skin clean, but do not overwash your face. You should use a mild scrub in the morning to remove the oil that accumulates while you sleep, and before bed to get rid of all the dirt and makeup from the day. Find a facial lotion that you like; I recommend Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer. I also use a homemade mask from fresh cucumber, uncooked oatmeal, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice blended together a few times a week. The lemon and oatmeal help the oil, while the cucumber is a natural source of moisture. It makes my skin feel amazing. Hope I've helped!

Acnefree: I think it's $20? It's at Costco in the
skin care section. I use it. It works pretty good. Use it twice everyday. Once in th morning when you first wake up and then again at night before you go to bed. If your skin gets really dry then use it only once. I wash my skin with warm water in the morning and i use Acnefree before i go to bed. You can try it that way or the other way around.
Mederma (for acne scars) $20.00 (i heard it works good)
cocoa butter (to soften the skin)
And this is something i got from a site: Here are the simple how-to instructions to help clear troubled skin:
INGREDIENTS
1 quart water
1/2 to 1 cup dried thyme leaves (for a VERY strong infusion)
1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove it from the heat and add the thyme. Cover the pan and steep the mixture for 20 minutes, then strain out the herbs and discard them. Let the infusion cool to warm. (You should be able to put your hand in the infusion and keep it there for several minutes without discomfort.)
2. Soak a clean washcloth with the infusion and wring the excess from it. With your eyes closed, place the washcloth on your face for 15 minutes. Remove the washcloth from your face and apply an astringent.

Look up KALAWALLA...they have pills you take before each meal...it is an immune booster basically and used for psoriasis...it clears everything up. I have a 15 year old daughter who had some skin problems and it worked. Also if you add SEASALT to your bathwater every day and wash your face and body with it in the water ( Make sure to rinse off with plain water after you soak every day in it for atleaste 30 minutes ) it will clear your skin up as well. Leave a HOT washrag with the saltwater on it laying on your face or wherever you are breaking out..it will ehal it up quickly. Also it draws out oils. Alternate HOT with COLD...which will open the poors and the salty hot water will draw the oils and dirt OUT then rinse with warm plain water..then get a rag with COLD plain water and lay it on your face or broken out areas afterwards and it will close the pores back.
Hope this helps...The Kalawalla takes about 3 weeks but IT WORKS. We have tried everything..and it works.
Hope I helped, Jenny

i had really really really bad acne 2. i went to my dermotologist & she got me on some pills but u only have to take them for a few months. they're called doxyclycine. then they will also give u some cream called retin a & it works wonderfully. if that dosent work then when u go back im sure she will have something better. it took me 4 perscriptions but my face is completely clear now. drinks lots of water & lay off greasy food. & wash ur face 2 to 3 times a day w/ gentle washes. nothing that is gonna be a harsh scrub. get some purpose gentle cleansing face wash. it's really good
oh & 1 more thing DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY ON PROACTIVE! it only works for mild cases of acne. it's basically the same thing as cheap soap and water

My skin is the same way, urg. It sucks i know, wash it twice a day and visit a dermatologist for a prescription, [i am going for the first time on tuesday.] Maybe get an acne facial. It should make your skin less vulnerable to redness and acne. I want to get one!! Anyway, just try some foaming facewashes. Good luck!!

Have you tried Proactive? It worked for my kids.
I had old acne scars, and I started using philosophy
products. My skin improved dramatically. It will heal
in time, but you might as well help it along. Never, never
use soap on your face, warm water on a clean wash cloth
(every time) is better. Philosophy and Proactiv are
both available on qvc.com
