can i watch hd dvds on my playstation 3? or is it only blue ray?

No, only Blu-ray. HD-DVD is a different format. BD-DVD holds up to 54GB, HD-DVD - only 30GB. More movies are coming out on Blu-Ray.

Hddvd's no----HD blueray disc yes.... THe difference is the HD blueray is capable of holding 50gig and the hddvd only hold 25 gig..Blockbuster is only renting out hd blueray for movies and many other stores will only carry blueray as well..

HD and bluray are different you need two different player !!
