I am trying to write an essay. And I first wanna come up with the facts so that the paper will turn out even better. So if you have anything to add on the differences between the two parties that would help dramatically. The topic of the paper is: How America different from other countries. So anything else that you add that would fit within the topic would help me severly. Thanks Alot!!! I know ill go great.

Facts are a good basis to start with. First of all, you must realize Democracy and Communism are NOT parties. The are two HUGELY different ways of governing a country. They are also only two; there are many others.

Democracy has what is called a 'liaisee faire economy' and Communism has what is called a 'command economy.' If you stand up in America and say 'I don't like the government,' you might be watched or questioned, but you will not be put in jail or shot dead in the street. Under Communism, you would be. In America you can write and read books of many differing opinions. Under Communism, the government decides what people can read OR write. Just a few comments, here & links for you to go to:

-the public does not elect their leader under communist rule

-the government has complete control over the rights of citizens. ie. they can take away rights and oppress people all the want.

-the operation of businesses is strictly controlled. They often do not allow people to start their own businesses. All companies are government owned.

-a communist government can take money, property and possessions from any person at any time for any reason.

*Note: China is half-@ss communist. They have become much better, especially over the last decade, with human rights and freedoms to open businesses and such. However, they are still communist.
