"Mild ptosis": This is renal ptosis, also called floating kidney and nephroptosis. The kidney has dropped into the pelvis and appears to floating there. This is obviously an abnormal condition but yours is mild. Probably not a problem for you at this point.

Now go and tell your brother you figured it out. LOL!

Ptosis applies to eyelids [ it's drooping of the lid, and I have it post brain surgery ].
Since there are no eyelids [ or eyes ] on kidneys, I would assume the doctor either mumbled a word in the transcription, or the typist had a brain fart.
It's NEPHROPTOSIS! [ I think ].
This is when the kidney drops down into the pelvis, when the patient stands up. No treatment recommended.

The right kidney's a little bit lower than it should be, sounds like it's a little out of place... and there's a cyst or stone near the back.

The right kidney is naturally lower than the left (ptsosis means droop)... that part's probably okay.

The cyst or stone is probably okay.... nonobstructing.

The malrotation could be preventing the kidney from draining properly or causing pain.

It means that the kidney was droopy ( ptosis) and out of position( rotated or crooked) and that you have kidney stones( calculus),but that they weren't blocking anything.
