i am thinking about getting a stud in my nose, and i had a few questions.
does it hurt?
and does it leave a scar when you want to take it out?
and does anyone have the spiritual meaning behind this peircing? i dont want to be putting something in my nose that symbolizes someting i dont believe in.
ive been looking for websites, but just cant find any.
if anyone could answer these questins that would be great!

no it doesnt hurt at all it just makes your eyes water.and no you wont have a scar if you take it out. you could look closely and see the hole but it just looks like a pore in your nose.and i wouldnt worry about spirtual i think you mean hindu traditions.because tons off people have it done just because they like it and its cute.everything we do has a spritual background that we dont relize.from the way you wear your hair to your shoes.and you dont thinks about that so dont worry about it with the piercing.i mean no one has ever asked me about the meaning of mine and they probally wont ask you either.and you can take it out if you try to get a job that doesnt allow you to wear it. some of these answers are really stupid and wrong.overall it doesnt hurt,left side is most common side.it is cute,isnt trashy,who cares what stuck up employers say,and its up to you.and your nose will not have a scar and split open JEEze!!

Ya it hurts! And I dont really know the spiritual meaning behind it anymore just because it's changed so much over the years! The meanings behind a lot of things have been changed! But if you want go ahead! It's not like anyones going to stop you!
Getting a nose peircing is almost the same as getting one on your ear! It's going to leave a little hole but that's about it! Make sure the person you get it from uses a clean needle and they know what their doing! Good Luck

Well it will leave a scar you are damaging your skin by getting a piercing. All a piercing is is an open wound. It will be a slight pinch. Your eyes might water. The healing might hurt. If you do get it make sure you follow what your piercer says not your friends or the stories of your friends that knew someone that this happened to them.
Just remember to research the place first before you go there. Also it is your decision.

I got my nose pierced when I was in college at a very drunken party with a self piercing earring. Someone just jabbed it through my nose. It didn't really hurt because I was really drunk. It smarted a little the next day, not too bad. I do have a scar when I tale it out to clean it (there's an indentation), mind you I've been wearing it for well over 20 years. I worked very successfully in management and no one ever had a problem with it. There's no significance that I know of and no ones ever pointed it out to me. I wear a small diamond stud and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!! I say, if you want one, go for it :)
Although I never had any problems with mine, I do suggest that you go to a professional. Also wear gold in it. Less irritating to the skin:)

i've had my nose pierced for about 10 years now and had no problems..didn't hurt a bit..however a friend had hers done and developed a keyloid which meant the stud never sat in properly..if you have it done just make sure you go to a reputable piercer and follow the advice given..i'm not sure of any spiritual meaning behind it but there probably is some reason behind the adornments..i just wanted to be rebellious..trouble is same as tattoos they're too addictive so now i have my lip and tongue done too..lol..good luck

It hurts a little bit. It will leave a hole when you take it out, but only if you leave it in for like a year. And there's no spiritual meaning behind it that I've ever heard of, otherwise you wouldn't see so many people with them.

I would get my tongue pierced again, I took it off but would get it again. It did hurt like hell for some hours and i kept biting on it but I don't like belly because everybody has that, and I don't wanna be a follower, nose it hurt like hell and I was bleeding so much so I took it off for job. Lip, is a 80's thing. and I have never seen a eyelid piercing. But I would get a marilyn Monroe piercing though, looks good.

I was 14 when i first got my nose pierced. It really doesn't hurt as much afterwards. Also, it doesn't take that long. I am 25 now and i do not have a scar. I am really not sure if it has any spirtual meaning, atleast i haven't heard of it. The one thing that i can tell you when i first got it, my eyes just got watery.

it hurts for a second, your eyes water but it goes away after a few minutes. it doesnt leave a scar unless its really infected. i havent heard of a spiritual meaning behind a nose peircing sorry! :)

as far as i know, it doesnt have a spiritual representation (unless u have like 45 piercings on ur face, then it symbolizes ur wierdness) I think it will only leave a tiny dot (like earlobe peircings) and that wil fade if u ever feel like letting it close up. I've heard that it only hurts as much as single pierced earlobes. (the cartiladge eybrow lip and tounge piercings r the most painful facial ones) Id go for it if i were u!
