The only one that I thought looked like a Nordic blond was Peter O' Toole. There must be a lot of Jesus movie's out there that I haven't seen! everyone says that Jesus was played by a blond guy and I have only seen one movie that goes with that description of Jesus.

If Jesus looked anything other than dark, then we can know that he could have had red hair and fair skin - like one of his ancestors - David. The Bible describes David as being 'ruddy and fair'.

So why all the crap about how Jesus looked? It's like the Atheists and Muslims have run out of things to complain about.

He was a hero, just like Claire Bennet. The girl that could create illusions was his reincarnation.

No, seriously, the Europeans didn't have a lot of knowledge of what near-easterners looked like, and probably just made him what they thought an average person looks like. I doubt medieval monks spent a lot of time traveling.

There's also the fact that a lot of kings oversaw the creation of all cathedrals and religious murals. They surely wanted the most highly revered figure in the land to have the looks of the kings people in order to imply racial supremacy over say the French or Italians.

Jesus most likely looked like an Arab. Arabs and Jews are Semitic people. Jews originated in Babylonia (modern day Iraq). They then mixed with Arabs, and Europeans to have two distinct races that we have today.

can you imagine an all white church in the south in the 1800s with a PICTURE OF A middle eastern saviour hanging on the wall?

Superb,incisive question. And why wasn't he born on a boat in international waters? with a captain, navigator,helmsman, 1st mate and a crew ,all of them with different nationalities. then we could all claim him as our son of God----- nevertheless,there's nowt wrong with christian principles.
Why didn't God arrange the birth along those lines?
