I must admit I do not understand why you think saying yes to a date request from a guy you apparently like will make you sound stupid. Hence, the only help you can expect is one that encourages you not to back off from saying yes when he asks you out.If he does eventually ask you out and if you like him enough (and I know you do) to want to go, simple say yes and then work out the details of your date like where you are going to go, time,etc.So here is wishing you luck and I hope things work out for you the way you want it to .

That's the game of dating. Sometimes you look stupid and you just have to laugh at yourself. It's actually cute when a girl does something stupid and is able to laugh about it- it shows confidence. Just say you'd love to or something. It'll come to you. Good luck!

When he does ask you to go out with him, say "I would love to go with you, thank you for asking me." That's enough so calm down and enjoy.
