He is a part of God, not all of God. An example would be an egg...it has different components (yolk, white, shell), but is still called an egg as a whole.

Jesus was sent to earth with a purpose. That purpose was to redeem humankind to God. Basically, God allowed a substitution to take place. Instead of punishing the entire human race, who had all sinned as individuals, He placed the sins of everyone on Christ. Christ was the last sacrifice, and the one which made all humankind holy enough to come into God's presence at God's chosen time.

Habakkuk 1:13 (a):
Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong.

Mark 10:45:
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

(Jesus calls Himself the Son of Man here because He is both the Son of Man (Mary) and the Son of God).

God is not the vindictive God of the OT anymore. Christ changed all that; God sent Him when He realized the humankind had a sinful nature and would always sin.

Isaiah 64:6:
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

To paraphrase:
Christ would not have fulfilled His mission unless He went to the cross. He could have called angels to save Him, but instead he chose to fulfill His mission of redeeming humankind to God.

Jesus' words in Matthew 26: 53-54:
53Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

As human beings, it is difficult for us to understand love this profound. It is in our natures to seek vengeance against those that hurt us. However, this is not the way we should be. Christ is our example of how to live without wrath in our hearts, but love instead.

I no longer practice wrath against others; although it was truly hard and took years to overcome that desire. Whenever I feel my mind going in that direction, I quickly move my thoughts in another direction. The desire for vengeance can be overcome.

Here is a link that explains exactly who Jesus is, and what His mission was:

Jesus would not have fulfilled His mission, had He not gone willingly to the cross.

God bless.

He was making a point. His death was unjustifiable, he had not commited a crime, merely insulted those in power with the truth. As a divine being, he could have simply refused to let them kill him, but we CAN'T do that. He was showing us that the truth can be more important than personal justice or survival, showing us not to be afraid of death if your life is honest. An unjust death exposes the injustice and so serves a purpose.

Fear of loss keeps most people from living authentic lives. Jesus showed us not to worry about the consequences of acting justly, advocating for the powerless and condemning the powerful. We should not care about the opinions of others if we are trying to make the world better for those who can't.

Because the old testament was using blood sacrifice to God to wash away sins which it really couldn't do . In the book of Isaiah it talks of what Christ would have to go through . So it took his clean sinless blood to do it .Now in reality we are all responsible because he died for us while we where not born and would be born a sinners. The Romans put Him on the cross , and that is what the Jew's wanted , they wanted Him dead. Not realizing He was the finale blood sacrifice for all

Christians will go on and rant about how the jews killed him and whatever.

Its a simple false statement.

the romans killed Jesus likely because they were afraid he was going to cause an uprising. Many Jewish people liked him and his non violent ways, and rome was afraid he would start a rebellion of the jewish people.

Rome went as far as to separate jewish peoples and ban general meeting because of this. They crucified jesus as an example to people who might think of startring a rebellion

He took the form of man and came to the earth and lived like man but without an inch of sin. He willingly wanted to die for our sins eventhough he had the power to call ten thousand angels to destroy the people but he bore our pain and because he came in human form he felt pain too. pain noone has ever endoured because he was carrying the sins of the world. He loves us

Jesus is not God. He was the Son of God. He was sent to earth to deliver the masses from Evil. Since he was born as a human, he had to suffer human consequences. God also has limitations. He needs a medium to connect to people, so he sent Jesus.

Because He went to the cross to save you and me. If He hadn't gone to the Cross we would be lost in sin with no hope of everlasting life in heaven.
