k so i am going to be painting a mural on a little boys wall and it is going to be curious george...but the thing is the parents of the little boy both want me to do 2 different things, the mom wants just this picture of the rocket ship

http://www.curiousgeorgemovie.com/downloads/cg_dtop_07_1024.jpg

while the dad would like me to do the pic of the rocket ship and then have it kind of fade into this second scene on the opposite wall, which is this http://www.curiousgeorgemovie.com/downloads/cg_dtop_06_1024.jpg

and as a painter i really like the second option because it would look really cool and it would be fun for me to do, but i dont noe if it is the best one,
it might be a little too busy with both
so just give opinions or suggestions please
thanks
kathy

Kathy, he's a young boy. Nothing will be too 'busy' for a busy young mind. A kid's world is filled with images of cartoons and cartoon characters. Children identify with them for some reason.

When my daughter was seven or eight I painted a six foot tall Taz and Bugs Bunny on one wall for her and a My Little Pony on the opposite wall. She loved them.

And don't worry about him having trouble sleeping at night with the images on the walls. He'll love them and get some kind of comfort from them as he goes to sleep at night. The person who replied otherwise isn't considering looking at it from the kid's eyes. And the lights will be off when he goes to sleep anyway.

It his parents want them both and you get feedback from the boy saying he wants both then don't worry about them looking to 'busy' to you. Trust me, they won't seem that way to him.

Just paint both images, have fun and do your best work.

I agree with April. I think the rocket ship image would make a better mural. You could easily extend it if needed by adding to the "outer space" scene. I also think the image of George and the man in the yellow hat is very cute.

I think the second one might get too busy, and may not make sense with the rocket ship. I say start with the rocket ship, and then let them decide if they would like you to continue---because it is really up to them. Only if they are happy will they recommend you to their friends.

>> Maybe you should talk to both the parents & get them to agree on what it is they want together before you proceed ~

>> Both options sound great though. Ciao!

If they ever want their kid to sleep they will pick one of the two....both will be diasterous. If they insist on both do the second one mych smaller in pattern size....good luck

Who runs the house and who is hiring you and who is paying you? I imagine it's the woman.
Who ever is signing the cheque is the one you listen too. The other is just an opinion you should politely hear.
