Ketchup is low on nutrition because its basically tomato paste that has been sweetened and spiced. The problem with it is that it is loaded with salt. One serving (one of those squeeze packets) contains your entire daily requirement for sodium (salt). Do you know anyone who uses just one packet? Years ago, Pres. Ronald Reagan tried to call it a vegetable in an effort to reduce school lunch programs. Nutritionists practically laughed him out of town.

Too much sugar! Use sparingly. The sugar free stuff tastes nasty.

Not very-it has a lot of sugar in it.
